DPI is a metric just for printing if you want to calculate what resolution your export file should be. say your printer wants 300 DPI and you want to print it on 20x30 inch. then you can calculate the file resolution required to meet 300dpi at 20x30 inch. but for screen viewing? dpi doesn't do anything as long as the file resolution stays the same. 1000x1000 @ 300dpi is the same as 1000x1000 @ 75dpi lol
also pro tip for canon printers: always export the largest file you can without up-scaling. canon printers love data. so even there dpi is useless.
