how can anyone not learn how to color grade and edit photos in such a fantastic era of abundance?

I've read that book, excellent book, I'm pretty familiar with post workflows but haven't done them in some time.

Because they use Lightroom which creates bad colours and takes so much work to fix.

Capture one users do not have this problem.

And how will that help you? Even if you become mad good at it, you'll only be able to edit someone elses work.

Why aren't you editing your own photos, then? Editing is last touch, until you're capable of taking quality photos, you shouldn't be doing it. Unless you're pajeet and you plan to make a living out of editing other peoples work, offcourse.
