close to all the photographers i know (and i know A LOT of people) make well over 6-7k a month and even the ones that dont, make well above average income.
and keep in mind that the average monthly pay in 276 out of 295 countries in the world is around or below 1,200 EUR/USD.
6-7k a month is well above average even in switzerland - the #1 country with the highest monthly pay average, where the average monthly pay is 4,800 EUR
so when you say that people who stay in photography are fools, youre probably thinking of snapshitting fields that basically have a blue collar job but instead of manual labor and using tools, they use their cameras to sell people snapshits - yeah those kind of photographers wont make it in any country because no one wants snapshits.
also, you do weddings and/or events or real estate if you hate your life and are in photography just for the money.
