Dear filter manufacturers,
Why.
Why are you endeavouring to make your filters as THIN and as SLIPPERY as possible?
People dont WANT this. It makes it difficult to get filters on, and even harder to get them off - often resulting in people having to use filter WRENCHES just to get them off.
I personally own several £80-£90 filters which virtually weld themselves to my lens, and you are NOT HELPING by making the filter MILLIMETRES thick and entirely slick.
Put paddles on the edge of the filters! Or at least make them thicker and ridiculously grippy so that, every time I try to get them off, mid winter, it doesn't take the skin off my fingers! I don't care if they look less slick - I want FUNCTIONALITY and SPEED.
