Might be a throwaway of a thread.
I am new to shooting digital, have been using film for two years and am comfortable with it.

Hoping to just get some advice or pointers with camera set up and editing practices with digital.
stuff like ISO setting for day and night,
Should I just leave it on auto?
Adding sharpness in camera or in post. Those kind of things,
For reference I have a Fuji X-Pro1 and I am trying to get as close to final photo SOOC JPEG.

Its should be technically better to do it in camera, but with jpgs, I doubt it noticeably matters.

Treat it like you would any other part of the exposure triangle.

Either pick your iso first or pick it last depending on the how you want the image to look. There is so set standard because ISO ratings on digital camera's are not standardized. Nikon's 64 ISO is equivalent to Sony's 100, so you'll have to figure it out from experience.

So would you recommend shooting a fixed ISO depending on the situation?
Currently my daytime setting is auto from 200-3200.

Digital is very unlike the film concepts you seem to be asking about here, because in digital you can just auto everything and see how it looks and then change it and see how it looks, etc. etc. there isnt as much of a rigid guideline as with film. People generally are fine with auto iso up to a certain amount (3200,64, whatever you prefer) and working with that.

That seems fine, if noise is less of a concern than your shutter speed or aperture. I personally pick an ISO then shoot in aperture prioity, and let my shutter speed be whatever it needs too and as it gets dark I will increase the ISO in small steps

I'm not sure it's consistent between all cameras but I'm pretty sure auto modes on digital cameras prioritize keeping the iso as low as possible.
