>>4292010>he actually thinks thislmao they are wildly popular with high end studio photographers
>rolling shutterirrelevant to stills outside of sports (sports photographers are professional photographers like mcdonalds employees are professional chefs) because nobody needs
>FPS for stillslearn to press the shutter button at the right time and most importantly you don't have to care about
>"abysmal video options"on a stills camera because the most advanced video to ever come on a stills camera is all around worse for anything resembling a real production workflow compared to a dedicated video machine and will always be.
>>4292009spot on, meanwhile these gearfags are like
>why are pros paying so much for hasselblad>it doesn't even prores raw 4k120 uncropped>the lumix g9ii is better, it does 120fps and has the most reach per pound per dollar>"muh photography" did you know more people use tiktok than subscribe to vogue?like they don't actually use cameras or have jobs
anyone who has been around camera consoomers for at least 5 minutes knows this already: they do not buy cameras for what they need. they buy cameras for the feeling of owning "the best".
they will say stuff like "___ needs to step up and reduce rolling shutter and add this video codec if they want to survive! good thing i'm invested in __ mount so I'll have the best brand!" but the number of video gigs they have shot even as a broke freelancer? 0. if it was even 1 they would have already been referred to a rental house so they could use the camera their client needed instead of the one their internet ego needed.
