Just came across this photo getting 424,000 likes.

Should I start posting on Facebook? Is anyone using it?

It’s possibly a composite photo but that is so many likes, millions of people must be seeing it, Insta gets me a few hundred views only.

social media likes aren't real people. social media websites are content aggregators that use whatever you give them to train AI and attract views that are monetized via data collection and advertising. so basically you have a job and they're paying you in good boy points.

what would you rather do, take 500 photos and sell one print for $5, or take 5 photos and get 5 million likes?

Million likes per photo is kind a consistent rate, this means that your works are popular and have a viewer. This popularity can be easily converted to money, much more than 5 bucks actually.
