A smaller ricoh gr iii with an evf or a same sized ricoh with a FF Sensor and 40mp

Any thought about the Sigma fp-l?
I can't get to try one in any nearby shop but I found an used one for sale at interesting price.

It is a genuinely bad camera. Even the viewfinder and hot shoe are physical DLC and it doesnt have a shutter. Sony would be jealous.

It's not really the smallest complete camera, it's a cop out, like making "the smallest car" but it's just a four wheeled single seat motorcycle abomination with a glass bubble on top and the gearbox and second seat cost extra, are mutually exclusive, and increase the size by 50%. Just a marketing stunt.

How cheap? I was thinking about getting one awhile ago, but I think they are still overpriced for what you're getting. It's a cool camera, but it's drawbacks are significant and it's price needs to reflect that.

Honestly I would like to see the GX9 refresh but with L-mount and APS-C sensor. Full 35mm format would be a bit too much, but APS-C is still a significant upgrade to MFT format and Sigma already has a lineup of L-mount APS-C lenses. All they need is a kit.

I wouldn't say fp L is bad, but it's true that it fails as a general purpose camera because there are things it just can't do, or at least not as easily. Because yeah, shutter.

It's being sold for 1300 euro, probably slightly bargainable, stated in good condition which seems correct by the photos and the seller seems reputable. It goes for around 2300 euro new around here.

I do understand those shortcomings but I'm a shitlord who often avoid using evf/ovf. The shutter yeah that's one drawback but it still makes me curious, particularly that sort of bracketing/low iso mode.

i'll take an x100v but $1000, x70 update, or a griii that's flat on the grip side rather than curved. or a modernized nikon A, leica q with a 28 f2.8 pancake, rx1r also with a smaller lens, snappy sigma dp1 with a proper mf implementation. wouldn't mind a cle or an s95 with faster startup time. the list goes on.
