How does this dude shoot at 1/10 shutter speed and get his pics this sharp with no noise at night?

Is it all editing or does it have anything to do with his 60 mp Sony flag ship camera.
I have a felling my DSLR APSC sensor couldn't achieve any pics of similar quality with the best lens available.

You could get these shots with most any modern mirrorless.
You'd need IBIS (or tripod) for more reliably sharp 1/10 and 1/20 shots of mostly static scenes.
A good lens to get the light in, give you that shallow DoF, and stay sharp at wider apertures.
Most of the shots are between 400 and 1000 ISO, which will be fine for most cameras, and you can get even cleaner with good noise reduction.
FF gives you a bit more flexibility in pushing your ISO, but IBIS + good lens are really what matter. Most of their "look" just comes from 85 f1.4 + editing.
You're also only viewing these images at relatively low resolution, so they don't look as bad as they actual might if you were pixel peeping.

FF, MF, etc can subtly deviate from the look of crop sensors in multiple ways. Color rendition is more stable at high ISOs if you have bigger pixels (fewer demosaicing errors related to noise) and there's a theoretical DR bump from greater full well capacity, you dont need lenses to be as highly corrected to render fine details for the larger pixels, and if you have more pixels, that adds aliasing resistance and enables you to downsample with additional gaussian anti-aliasing as a noise reduction step.

Most full frame and medium format cameras have both more and larger pixels. The A7RV has the same pixel pitch as a ~26mp APS-C camera (and close to old school 16mp micro four thirds) so color rendition isn't like A7SIII tier in high ISO shooting and it asks a lot out of lenses but the sampling rate means there's almost never moire and even when you resize images fine details stay crisper.

You could easily get those same shots close enough with APS-C though. Obviously FF is better, but it's certainly not a requirement for those shots. Lens + processing are going to have a bigger impact on the final image, than just sensor size.

Thankfully, if you want the whole modern camera package (IBIS, weather sealing, and good autofocus), FF mirrorless is actually the same price as APS-C mirrorless due to APS-C being a worthless rung on the upgrade ladder scam until the a6700 and canon r7.

Most APS-C gear is not weather sealed or very good at all. Take fuji for example. The sensors are defective by design and produce softer shots with more zombielike colors than micro four thirds, and the weather sealing simply doesn't work, so you might as well buy an OM-5. Every Nikon APS-C mirrorless is just crap. Every canon APS-C before the r7 was non-competitive beginners scam gear. Every sony APS-C before the a6700 had crippled ergos and no weather sealing and to my knowledge not one single first party sony APS-C lens has true weather sealing, and neither do any canon RF APS-C lenses (you need to use FF L lenses). Likewise for nikon, only the FF Z mount lenses with metal mounts have complete weather sealing. If you're not shooting decent full frame gear micro four thirds is your best bet.

And the funniest part about micro four thirds - the performance is very close to old APS-C DSLRs due to their inferior sensor tech.

I agree FF is the most well-rounded and best value, and recommend it most often.
Still think lens + processing matter more, and that OP's vid pics are certainly achievable with APS-C.

Weather sealing is certainly nice, but it's also pretty easy to shoot in the rain without, plenty of workarounds. There are certainly APS-C DSLR's with solid weather sealing though. OP also never once mentioned rain, maybe they simply want night shots on dry days?

If OP asks for upgrade advice, and what cameras might be better, I'm sure we can all find lots of upgrades for them. They didn't though, they asked how the pictures where sharp and noise free, if it was editing or camera. Then expressed doubts their camera couldn't take similar quality even with the best lens available.

It feels like you're reading into things to disagree, for the sake of disagreeing.

Yep. Sensor size is affecting IQ and overall versatility, and access to faster lenses (especially zooms). But a lot of the aesthetic here is within crop's reach and relies on IBIS to steady the camera without a big ass tripod and weather sealing to keep the camera working in the middle of a drizzle. Pentax tries to build every camera to the same standard, but the K30/K50/K70 and K1 MK1 had some accidental bad batches. With olympus the E-M1 and OM-1 bodies have the best build quality and most features, the same as high end FF, just a smaller sensor.

It used to be that they were soft and hazy at every aperture. Now it just means you get less bokeh.

That doesnt mean they replace the apertures and focal lengths they dont have. If you need to shoot at 85mm f1.4, you need 85mm f1.4, its just physics. And on FF, it is cheap and easy to get a good 85mm f1.4. On aps-c the replacement is like a 56mm f0.8.

Lenses still matter A LOT!
Just try to compare the premium prime 50 mm and your stock zoom at the same focal/aperture and you will tell me.
Nowadays most lenses (even the cheap chinese ones) are really good compared to the ones of '80, '90 and probably '00, but premium lenses are on another level in terms of sharpness and are way more relevant than the camera (in fact you can notive the difference even on entry level cameras). Contrast and colors are also affected by lenses, but those can be inproved a lor in post.

Keep in mind that if you will deliver your pic only on digital format and resizing them in less than 2k in resolution, most of this doesn't matter much.

Aperture trades DOF for letting more light into the camera, its a creative decision. But if you need it you need it and full frame is more wide aperture friendly. Smaller formats need even larger, brighter apertures to compensate for the smaller sensor getting less light and get the same look.

Those comparisons were likely botched or you were looking at raws not knowing chroma smoothing is automatically applied for xtrans whether it needs it or not while bayer only gets it in post and you can actually turn it off. Theres a reason no one else even approximates it and fuji doesnt use it on pro cameras. Word on the street is sony wont sell them a modern sensor unless they cripple their cameras with xtrans.

It takes xtrans 40mp to have the same quality as 24mp bayer and it destroys colored textures that have a lot of red or blue anyways. 25mp micro four thirds is actually sharper than it without needing downscaled

The same for cameras. I have no infinite money and photography is not my main hobby. I could go for a FF system for about 4k (7 times my annual wage, but I'm in italy, so it's way way different than in US) but for 5k this summer I spent 2 weeks in japan with my gf and i took several photos I like (pic related, sorry don't have the original now).

Why spending more than the 1.5k i spent for my used a6400 and my 12mm samyang and cheap zoom? Probably none. I'd like to have a FF like the a7C II for sure, but I cannot really figure out why I sould prefer this over all the other things I could have for the same price.

The point is that resizing a pic you are sharpening it. If the original one is 6x4k and you resize to 2x1.3k you are averaging 9 pixels in one. It's not exactly like that but you can think it like that: "If the "blurriness" of your lens is smaller than 3 px, you are actually deleting it scaling by 3 times".

Other than sharpness you also have color, contrast, aberrations, distortions... Those things will remain regarding resizing and will impact your post.

You are mixing up several things.
About sharpness: bigger resolitions means more obvious differences in sharpness between two lended. Put it that way: each ray of light hit the sensor not in a point but in a circle with a specific radius. The smaler the radus the sharper the lens. If the radius is smallr than the sensor pixel, increasing lend sharpness doesn't increase the sharpenss of the pic. Increasing the size of the sensor pixel increase the sharpness. Downscaling a picture have similar effects than increasing sensor pixel size. So the pic will appear sharper. =)

This also have the extra benefit of averaging the noise.

The other feature like contrast, colors, vignetting, distortion, ecc... Can be greatelly adjusted in post.
Other like Fringe, flares ecc are harder to fix, but can be fized anyway and if you will downsize the pic the edit will be way less noticeable.

Bokeh cannot be faked not aperture difraction.

That's a bit too much money to spend on camera, more like ~1/30 - 1/100. I wouldn't just dedicate such a big share of money to my snapshits at least. Although the way current market is, maybe we, and I count myself as hobbyist, should throw more money into camera manufacturers so they don't suffer from phones taking normie market out of the reach.

For reasons already stated ITT this is a you problem, and 1/5 to 1/10 of the average /p/osters annual income would buy a FF flagship or MF camera because aside from porn boards, /pol/ and /b/, the vast majority of 4chan users have some college or a bachelors degree.

When you're balking at pricetags never forget you are among graduates and students who mostly work in tech and set aside 2-5k yearly to aggressively invest in ultra high-risk assets. Some people here don't even spend money they earned on hobbies, they spend anything above break even in a small investment account.
