>>14317245>Everything is dead except for the many things that are thrivingI have been needling AEW fans all day, but Rampage/Collision do not need to be cancelled. AEW needs a 2nd weekly show no matter what, though I might agree it could be better to do a Friday show (Rampage+Collision), air Rampage on 1-2 hour tape delay, then air a taped Collision the next night. This would also free up Dynamite to do something of a hybrid show -- have a 3 hour presentation with the first hour on YouTube, couple 'dark' matches, some interviews and video packages, etc -- then start the main show on TV.
For Saturdays, let underpaid talent go work indies, let your elderly/injury prone/etc wrestlers rest, and for the rest, go back to having house shows every Saturday night. **FUCKING UNTAPED**. And actually deliver matches that matter. Starks, Wardlow, FTR, House of Black, acts that people want to see -- not bottom-roster talents doing ROH/Dark-tier squash matches. -- Anyone not agreeing to do House Shows, whether it's in the fucking contract or not, make a note and let them walk when their contracts are over. They aren't in it for AEW's growth, they just want the paycheck, so fuck them.
Having a soft Wednesday vs Weekend roster split will allow you to get your more nervous/inexperienced talent time on the mic without the immense pressure of being on live TV - if someone is rambling, you can throw in a few camera cuts and chop down their promos, cut out dead time from matches, etc. The shows can be much more compact but still fresh because you taped them the night before, not 2 weeks earlier.
AEW needs to do some serious reorganizing if they want to turn things around. Building a fanbase isn't working, going to small cities was supposed to be the key to that, but they're getting diminishing returns.
