It's that they should never BE THE REASON people think it's fake. You shouldn't hear a wrestler say it. It shouldn't be portrayed that way on television by the wrestling company, because the suspension of disbelief is important to get into any sort of televison show, or movie, or anything else -- and if WWE wants te be more cinematic, well, they didn't stop The Godfather midway and say "THIS IS FAKE, THIS IS A MOVIE, THIS IS NOT REAL, WINK WINK."
No, they played it straight because that's what you do.
WWE can't keep people from realizing wrestling is fake but that is totally different from helping them come to that conclusion and embracing it even which I think is a horrible idea.
