There was no build up for Saraya vs. Shida, with Ruby having to cut a promo on the Collision before the Tuesday episode. Shida wins the belt... and get nothing, because the focus was entirely on Storm, because she struck gold with her character. So, I put it to you, what is Shida meant to do when she has nothing to work with? They couldn't have telegraphed it any harder that Shida was going to lose the belt to Storm (who didn't even earn a shot and was just gifted one). This also undermined Shida's record of being the first-ever female in AEW to be a three-time champion. As for Full Gear, both Shida and Storm were pissed off - as if they'd been told they'd have 15 mins, only to have it cut down to ten. But Shida didn't botch in it, Luther was late on grabbing the kendo stick and then you have the whole thing with Toni's ass and the metal plate in it. What happens after that? Nothing. No storylines. No feuds. Just some random matches on Rampage before she disappears again. Where's her rematch?
