>>16458956yeah there are 2 Giant Gram games, the better one is Giant Gram 2000; AJPW 3. I played both on Emulators on during coof lockdowns. The 1st one has a couple characters from Virtua Fighter in it actually, apparently there was also an AJPW game on or planned for the Saturn as well, hence the VF tie in.
Giant Gram 2000 is very very good, and has this cool "Museum Mode" where you recrate all the 5 star classics from 80s/90s AJPW history as a challenge like mode to hit all the key spots in the match, then once you complete it you get to watch the match in full.
And yeah it has a n early proto version of that same mechanic from MK that happens when you achieve "Burning Spirit mode" and can hit your kill finisher with max impact/intensity by building up a power meter/bar. Cool roster lineup too with a bunch of cool unlockable characters of Japanese & Gaijin history in AJPW.
Bruiser Brody and Vader for instance are easy mode super powered heavyweights to clean through arcade mode easily as well.
