>Rossy Ogawa, ahead of new organisation's launch, visits WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony 'gives hope to Japanese superstars'
>Former Stardom executive producer Rossy Ogawa (66), who has begun work on launching a new organisation, visited the WWE's Hall of Fame of Honour ceremony in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 5 April (6 April in Japan).
>After listening to the five-minute, 20-second English speech by former women's pro wrestler Bull Nakano (56), known as the "Empress of Japan", who spoke as this year's inductee, Ogawa said: "I was very moved. It was a magnificent performance, as befitting a pioneering Japanese superstar, and she received a huge ovation", he said.
>In addition to Bull, the late Mohamed Ali, a former world heavyweight boxing champion, and Paul Heyman were inducted into the Hall of Fame this year. Ogawa said excitedly, "It was a fitting ceremony to give hope to the Japanese superstars of today".
>At the Wells Fargo Centre, where the ceremony was held, he seemed to renew old friendships with Japanese superstars Iyo Sky, Kairi Sane and Asuka, as well as Dakota Kai, Steven Regal and Abdullah the Butcher. He is likely to continue watching the wrestling festival Wrestlemania (6 and 7 June in Philadelphia, 7 and 8 July in Japan time).
>On 2 August, Ogawa held his first meeting for the launch of the new organisation and said, "I think we will be able to make some kind of announcement by the end of this month". It will be interesting to see if this visit to WWE is related to the launch of the new organisation.
