Hangman's title run from November to the Punk feud was heatless and that was in spite of AmDrag giving him the biggest possible start to his run. Hangman didn't carry himself like a world champion and he wasn't featured like one, either. I imagine Tony not committing to Hangman is a piece of all this that nobody wants to talk about.
At the time fans guessed the Summer of Punk would lead to a double turn with MJF at All Out where MJF would win the title. and with how things went with MJF's story that summer, I think that makes more sense than this idea that Punk big-leagued Hangman.
