Unfortunately there's not a lot of footage outside of Japan and the WWWF that not only survived, but survived on a format that doesn't look like a 200th generation VHS. Maybe there's some lucha that's in good quality, never been my bag. And from my understanding some of the golden age footage that's around were actually filmed for movies and weren't live matches.
Around a decade ago I participated in a project to find the best Japanese matches from before the 80s. If I ever stop being such a boomer I'll find a way to upload it to xwt classics. But I remember our main takeaway being that Billy Robinson was amazing. I remember some crazy shit like Baba dropping the Destroyer on his head outside the ring, but be prepared for guys to win falls off of entirely unimpressive vertical suplexes.
