The sad part is--well it's two things. First, Trump isn't some maverick. They really didn't have to go through the effort of doing all this, but I guess they really can't handle a guy being 95% with the program versus 100%.
Also, if this wasn't a total circus, and their goal really was to hold him accountable, they'd just try him for war crimes. But they won't because then that'd set a precedent for these goons.
