AEW has a pretty big problem where every match has an onto/off of the apron move, a forearm exchange, and some dumb head drop spot.
This works in PWG cause 600 people are buying 2-4 DVDs a year just to see that. But on weekly television or 6 hour PPVs it makes everything blend together and nothing stand out.
Fuck the safety of modern wrestlers, if they don't care about themselves, I won't either. But just for the sake of putting together a watchable show, yes they need to be told not to indulge their worst impulses.

Can someone explain what they don't like about this clip? It's the least bad I've ever seen Sammy look. Pretty much every indie tag match started like this 15 years ago. It's not great, it's not impressive, but I don't find it offensive like the other 99% of Sammy's work.

His biggest flaw is that he thinks wrestlers are perfect as they are. He has no sense that guys need to be developed and especially need experience. They should be running house shows, even at a loss. Obviously the big names can stay off of most of them, as a big reason they're with AEW instead of WWE is because they don't want to wrestle 3-5 times a week. But Sammy should have been fired the second he publicly stated he doesn't want to work house shows. Bitch you wrestle like this, you definitely need more matches under your belt.

It's so sad the wrestling has gotten to the point where no one who even knows how to buy a cheap breakable table is involved with some of the bigger indies. Even worse is when they put a door one some milk crates and still call it a table, you're just playing wrestling at this point not actually doing it.
