It's not like ECW with all the outlaw/blackballed types, or TNA with Hogan/aging WCW shitters/etc. There's so many modern WWE-trained wrestlers with Indy experience like Claudio or Adam Cole, that have experienced both sides, and yet AEW is still collapsing.
AEW could be profitable right now - today - if Tony would let most of the ex-WWE guys contracts expire and move forward with Orange Cassidy, Wardlow, MJF, Hayter, and even a lot of the New Japan types like Aussie Open. There's no profit/ROI in overpaying WWE talents (Malakai Black, Miro, Adam Cole, Saraya) just so you can play keep-away and gloat about it.
