Impact actually does this well with a 1-2 minute recap of the previous week's show or PPV at the start of the show, and short 30 second replays during the show if it's a major feud or angle.
Imagine if you last watched AEW 2 months ago and you weren't able to watch it again until this week. You'd be asking yourself why MJF and Adam Cole are teamed up and acting buddy buddy, or why faction A is feuding with faction B. You can't assume casual viewers, and especially new viewers, know what's going on if you want to keep or grow an audience.
