FMW and Big Japan were doing crazy stuff, even though FMW were at their "sports entertainment" era by this point, but their cage matches were different so seeing a fall through this brutal would be a breath of fresh air for them like it was for us at the time. Then again, a cage match like this with a bump this brutal through the cage still hasn't been done in a mainstream company in japan. It's kind of hard to determine thinking of it further now because of what was going on in new japan and all japan with the main contributors to the stiffer styles being active at the time. It being mick and taker or two others would play a factor too.
