This is why they had to rush them turning on him. The live crowds didn't want to boo Edge to the point where even the cheapest of cheap heat wasn't working. He called fans sheep and they chanted 'we are sheep.' So yeah he needed to be out of there asap if they wanted the group getting any heat. Not unlike when they had to kick the Brood out of the Ministry so fast after they started getting cheered for during their segments as well

I don't think he was ever fully intended to be. Like I was saying, it was a handpicked group of guys and Rhea that he wanted to make into something. It was never going to be a group he was meant to be in for long, especially once they got to the the stage of Balor being in there. Not sure if Dominik was always part of the plan, but given how Edge was the catalyst for his turn and who he first went heel on I wouldn't be shocked there either. It was a year's long story starting from where it formed to where he beat Balor. It all seemed very deliberate
