Let's be honest: the console war between WWE and AEW is retarded. These two promotions really aren't that different, not in how they present wrestling. Nearly everyone works the same dimeless lucha/puro inspired style and gives zero fucks about obvious cooperation, no selling, fake ass looking moves, etc. The very few exceptions shine brighter than the sun by comparison (Brock Lesnar, for example).
Pro wrestling has become a cirque du soliel performance, with lame backstage vignettes thrown in. Trying to compare a classic wrestling match such as the Flair vs Steamboat trilogy, to the spastic gymnastics routine that passes for modern wrestling just doesn't make sense.
