That's Hunter's booking. Gargano was the top babyface in NXT for two years but lost at almost every Takeover. Keith Lee ended Adam Cole's year long reign just to be a transitional champion for Karrion Kross. Maybe one day he'll book a strong babyface world champion but I can see Cody dropping the title six weeks after he wins it (whenever that is)

i can understand doing that with cody (he's probably the most over babyface in WWE at the moment, waiting is only gonna build anticipation), but Jey and LA Knight need some sort of win ASAP to keep them relevant. If paul doesn't do that, those two are gonna fall back into upper midcard filler territory.

I fucking bet Knight is going to be Logan's next challenger since Roman is tied up with the Rock and Knight needs a champ belt before too long. Logan is such a great heel that Knight overcoming him would feel good for the fans.
