yea spending years making sure no one got over and that WWE is the draw means that no one can draw a dime. you can swap the entire rosters of AEW and WWE around and the ratings still remain the same.

mania sells out before the card has been announced because the attraction is the event, not the wrestlers. that's why WWE crowds are fucking dead.

Brands are the draw these days. You don't really have more than 1 or 2 genuine A list people these days. This isn't just wrestling, this is across most things. Back in the day you used a familiar actor, now you use a familiar property.

wwe has tonnes of lapsed fans that only tune in for wrestlemania and the rumble. Brainlets misconstrue this as the "brand" being the draw and don't realise WWE still needs to put work in to keep their loyal fans the other 48 weeks of the year.

Draws don't really exist anymore for WWE. Vince's dream came true and made the brand itself the draw. Absolutely no one tunes in to Wrestlemania because of the card anymore, they tune in just because its Wrestlemania
