I get the Young Bucks make you upset but that doesn't make Angle's pacing and selling abilities any less subpar, so cope. Watch his 4.75 star classic with Shawn Michaels and the differences between them are night and day. Michaels actually knows how to sell the effects of a 20 minute long grueling match, slowing down to the point where even minute actions like connecting with one punch or crawling over for a pin seem to take so much out of him. Kurt on the other hand? He'll hold whatever part of the body he landed on for a bit, and he'll stay on the ground for a bit. Until it's time for the next spot. Then he instantly shoots off the ground and does some shit like a leaping belly to belly superplex so fast you can't even process what's going on. And then it gets a 2 count like it always does and Angle from that point on forgets he was supposed to be hurt. Physically it's beyond impressive, but it does nothing for the story of the match. It hurts it actually.

He's always been a solid upper midcard act. Maybe he wasn't Bret Hart, but his psychology was fine. No promo ability whatsoever though, and he himself would tell you that. He was handed scripts his entire career and at the very least he was likable enough to make them work. But he was never a total package or truthfully that huge of a draw (Mania 19's buyrate was abysmal). That's fine. Wrestling needs guys like that. Guys that maybe people don't come SPECIFICALLY to see, but they're explosive athletes and they fire the crowd up. His Summerslam opener with Rey is a great example of that. I really wish Angle marks weren't so damn insecure, but at least they're not as bad as Jericels.
