>>13935769Tony listens to the kind of retards who reviewbomb Cagematch but have no ability to have an adult conversation and share their opinions in an organized way.
In a way it makes sense, like when you hear people say stuff like "I'd rather have one ride or die best friend than 10 fake friends!" In a way it makes sense Tony would rather have a fanbase of 600k die-hard AEW fans instead of 2-3x the number of wishy-washy off and on viewers.
The issue is that he's convinced he has to choose, that the moment he cuts match times to fit in more promos/storytelling, he'll gain 300k casuals but immediately lose 500k die-hards. It's really weird. If I was losing as much money as Tony is, I'd kind of insist on the whole "well, at least I still like the show I'm making" deal - why lose money AND make a show you don't enjoy? I completely understand the rationale. But that doesn't make it not odd.
Bucks/Hangman/Omega should have all been, at minimum, roasted live on the air by someone not named CM Punk, to give Punk a little catharsis and possibly keep him from spazzing out. Let the women do it, let tag teams do it, let the commentators do it, let everyone do it until their precious little 6 months passed - and then have it all come to a head. But instead they had to be little pricks about it and Tony let them get away with it. 0 money earned from it, all that opportunity flushed down the toilet. Great work, boss.
