You have them review it, not read it word for word, he is coming out saying he plain couldn't read it, im sure contracts have lawyer speak written in, but you would clearly see amount being paid, and how many years it has, and required number of dates and so on, you just have a lawyer review it to make sure they arent throwing bs in there you over looked like a 800 day non-compete clause of something
