probably HHH but Cena kept me away, but really after it was kind of understood that XIX was Austin’s retirement is when I suddenly thought wrestling was lame, still I had a passing interest until I was in college and the Benoit thing happened and I denied to a girl in class that I ever watched it because I didn’t want to have to fucking hear about it from her and also Vince went so hard into survival mode after that the shows lost their nuts and have never gotten them back, I only passively watch RAW with my kid now whose favorite wrestler is Macho Man so that outta say everything about the current product that needs to be said

Hating Cena was actually kinda fun at the time, he played the hostile crowds like a fiddle and when he lost it was always memorable. Edge cashing in on him, losing to RVD in the Hammerstein Ballroom, dropping the belt to Punk in Chicago. Cripple H was just insufferable, there was no real joy in any of his losses, he never made anybody look good, except for maybe Batista. Feels like a disrespect towards Big Match John to even compare him to Cunter.

I stopped initially in mid 2006, but it wasn't for one specific reason. It was booking as a whole. And the tame, sackless ECW revival didn't help.

Overall I think Cena did more damage just because of how stubborn they were and the sheer length of it. PG Cenawinslol was just the fucking dredges from what I've seen.

The Reign of Terror was a fucking drag but I HATED the Super Cena era and it legit got me to tune out of main events whenever Cena was involved because I knew what was going to happen week in and week out.

During Triple H's reign on Raw, Smackdown was usually a great show. WWE in general was suffering during the Cena era, that's when I actually stopped watching WWE entirely for years.

Triple H main events were a boring slog that always went on for too long while Cena main events were just Cena getting dominated for 99% of the match then he comes back and wins with four moves.
