the most popular superhero among blacks is Spider-Man. they don't care that Parker is white, they care that he's broke as fuck and the system hates him. just like anyone else, they relate to characters that resemble their lived experience.

I understand the appeal of liking something that looks similar to you but I don't get obsession with it. Aquaman & Roman Reigns look somewhat similar to my phenotype (half white mutt just like them.) but I can't fucking stand their movies or matches because none of these niggas can act. I shit all over most of their films. I do think it's funny though how my kind is portrayed as sexier than Whites & Blacks like in that commercial.
