Russo's youtube videos get like 200 views, and so much time has passed he just makes shit up and it's so obvious. Like when he tried to babyface himself with Brawl for All and said it was because he wanted to get the bully JBL beat up but he wasn't even a bully yet.

Cornette's entire life is wrestling. Russo genuinely seems to not care anywhere near as much and is more focused on his family. Cornette may be more successful in the wrestling industry now, but he's objectively lost at life.

Pretty much, and it depends on your outlook. Jim won by having probably the most popular wrestling podcast around. Despite his faults and failures, he does have a opinion many people have respect for. Russo can't say that. But Russo does have something cornette doesn't. Russo has a family that undoubtedly loves him. He also has some responsibility in ushering in the most profitable time for the wrestling business in the attitude Era. He also seems content in life outside the business. Cornette's biggest success wasn't his time in SMW, OVW or being the booker or manager at any of the wrestling promotions he worked for in his life. It's what he's doing now: having no power or say in wrestling today but reminiscing of days gone by and being bitter and abrasive on the current wrestling product. How can a person be happy when he gets paid to find reasons to be pissed off?

What does Russo even do outside of wrestling? No one wants to work with him, he still talks about wrestling all the time even though he doesn't like it because that's the only thing anyone knows him for. He's an absolute loser by every metric. The only thing he has over Jim is his family and we don't know how successful that is, either. He's not divorced yet and none of his kids have publicly humiliated him or his family so I guess as of now he's got that win. Cornette is married to a landwhale and he's a cuck/swinger but he seems genuinely happy with his life.
