Cornette is an AEW employee. He used to refuse to cover them more than just some random rants but now he literally goes over every Dynamite match and reviews it. If you get deeper in the episode, he has nice things to say about AEW as well.

He was invested in some guys in AEW like MJF and wanted to see them succeed, but now he feels like it's better to just not mention him so much in the hopes people forget what he was doing before his injury.
