Unironically. AEW hiring "trans" athletes is what has permanently set the company in a never ending downward spiral.
2. Because AEW doesn't book their shows.
Its all improvised crap, half of which are so shit and talentless that they couldn't get themselves over on Being The Elite. I watched all of Being The Elite leading up to the birth of AEW, and BTE started sucking the moment the Bucks Kenny Marty Hangman and Cody weren't the main characters on it anymore. AEW has talented people, it has great WWE veterans, and some of the best talent to come out of NJPW and ROH in the 2010s, but they don't have anyone actually booking the fucking show: so what you get is maybe 2 storylines that are cool but never go anywhere, and 5 storylines made by the same kinds of people who led to the failure of "create your own narrative" or whatever that was. All AEW has to be right now is comparatively good to WWE to hold up against it, but they can't do that, because WWE has Triple H pulling full stops out on it right now, and AEW has Tony Khan shitting himself like a baby over every other Twitter thread.
TLDR: Literally just get a promoter. any promoter, and book the show, promote the show, and fire all the gay/trans people.
