>>16920546>Kills the indiesNot really, the wrestling industry is growing for the first time since the late 90's and AEW is the biggest reason why. TNA is finally drawing again and ROH is still around too thanks to the money mark. All of those AEW wrestlers would be out of work without the money mark.
>Makes WWE better than everTrue, WWE was able to offload a lot of unwanted / unused talent on AEW. Before AEW came around everyone in WWE was miserable. Now they have more bargaining power than ever. WWE fans also care about WWE more than they have in decades and its because of AEW rekindled interest in pro wrestling amongst lasped fans.
>Then kills his own companyAEW is fine. They have to move to smaller venues because they were never able to sell out NBA / NHL sized arenas for non PPV events. WWE's hot crowds in sold out arenas reminded everyone how important fully packed arenas are. 2000 people in sold out small venue is better than 5000 in a half empty one. Even the recent NXT episodes on the road does a good job of demonstrating this. Pro wrestling is the only sport that works in giant stadiums and small venues. AEW and NXT doing shows in smaller arenas opens the door for other promotions like TNA or even NJPW to work those same venues too.
>>16920832Tony Khan is hateable for many reasons and is deserving of our ridicule. But let's stop pretending that he isn't good for the wrestling industry.
