Tony Khan signed the FTR after they left the WWE and were big time free agents. Promised them a lot and the Bucks had an unofficial agreement where they would do two matches with each other and that each one would win one. But FTR was made to lose their match first and once that happened, the Bucks refused to do a rematch and lose to them.
The Bucks then started fucking with FTR; pulling them off of Dynamite at the last minute if they were going to have a match they were going to win and keeping them off TV in general unless they were being used as jobbers (as seen with their role in Pinnacle).
To try and keep FTR happy, they were paired up with Tully Blanchard and later, given the AAA tag titles, with Khan promising that they would get to do a tag team version of the "Title Collector" gimmick Kenny Omega and Matt Cardona did. But the Bucks blocked them doing a tag title collector gimmick and double downed on keeping them off TV. And then double humiliated them in a serious of double battle royals where they jobbed to the Bucks and the Bucks BFFs ReDragon.
