What is it about Rey Mysterio Jr. that makes him a far more compelling wrestler despite being 3'8" than Jonathan Gresham? Is it because he's flippy? Is it because he's white? They're both very small but very skilled, yet one is regarded as an All time great and the other is regarded as dating Jordynn Grace.

Gresham is a charisma vacuum that maybe half the crowds thinks they could heem. Even if they couldn't the dude is so short and has a terrrrrrrible voice and is a bad promo, he screams insecurity. There is nothing cool or bad ass about him. He can wrestler good and thats it.

Thats because Rey is aware of his size. He never tries to act like he can actually go toe-to-toe with Kane or Big Show. He knows that he has to use his speed to get around the big lumbering oaf he is facing. Rey always knew how to work with his size. He was that huge underdog that people wanted to see winning. He also was (and still is) insanely skilled and was presented in an appealing way.
It also helps that he was doing insane flips when flippy guys weren't the regular thing. Now everyone tries to work as a flippy guy so nobody gets over with it.
