l watched some of Hogan's matches in Japan and was surprised at how good he was in the ring.
lt's a shame he stuck to the cartoony 80s style in all his western matches.

After Mania 3, Ricky wanted to go home and be a dad. Vince begged and pleaded but he stuck to his guns and left. It was supposed to be Steamboat vs. Savage for the world belt at Mania 4 to top their previous years classic, but Steamboat lost that tournament and was jobbed out and gone soon after.

That's how and why we ended up with the Flair/Steamboat trilogy.

I don't think Steamboat would've been WWF champion if he stayed. Hulkamania ran wild until WM8 and if the Warrior experiment happened despite Hulkamania, it was happening no matter what
