"Deep" as in probably the exact story featured in like, 10000 different animes. WWE isn't better but Jesus the standard here is so low that you're using the word "deep" when "contrived", "trite", or "cliche" would be much more suitable.

its not bait. wwe markets itself as sports entertainment drama but the storylines are usually just “he hates him!!! so now they fight” or “wow he was blue and now hes red so therefore hes EVIL!”

its really childish and embarrassing. at least attitude era storylines, as over the top as they were, has nuance. hell even pg era (2012-2016) had some cool themes and motivations for wrestlers and factions.
