Wrestling fans always talk about muh stories but 99% of wrestling fans don’t actually want stories they just want their favourites to win every match. Britt beating Jamie and then Jamie winning it back makes the most sense, I agree. Britt doesn’t need to have a long reign, it only has to be a few weeks or a couple of months but it’s the best way to do things.

I think people have rose-tinted glasses about that match. I recently re-watched it and it was sloppy as hell with no crowd to boot. It's still a very good march, but Shida vs Hayter was a level above it.

This conflicts me because I feel there's a lot of women in AEW you could legitimately say are too green and fuck up taking moves etc, some of whom have been working longer than 5 years. It's the number of times they've worked and the level they've held themselves to when working, rather than the number of years, which is more important. But (A) I'm not sure if burying someone to their face is the best way to help them improve (B) you might be able to justify putting thunder rosa on a list of people who fuck up taking moves too kek.

dude, not everything has to be on TV. Tony doesn't have 8 hours a week to waste, he has barely 3 hours so he has to put all the most important stuff. Highlighting Dustin's relation with Rosa or Ace Steel's friendship with Punk isn't importnat. Those things are bonus for the people that knows what's happening. If you want to critique something, find a case where already introduced guys who hate each other randomly become friends. I remember back in the day on RAW, Mickie James randomly going from feuding with Alexa Bliss to being her lackey the next week with no explanation. That's the sort of shit to complain about.

Sasha Vs Bayley is rated slightly better on cagematch. It's also from a time when the average standard for women's matches was a bit lower. The other high profile women's WWE matches: Asuka Vs Ember Moon and Charles Vs Becky are rated lower there. Britt Baker Vs Thunder Rosa is also rated lower than this.

Haven't t watched Sasha Vs Bayley for a while but my general feeling is that match and Shida Vs Hayter were achieving different things: Sasha and Bayley were carefully built for a while, were the last two "horsewomen" in NXT, and that match was the big end of an era payoff where Bayley finally won. Here Shida had suffered neglectful booking for a while, then built up a little, but also recently beaten by Toni Storm, so needed to be reestablished within the match as a serious contender. So my feeling is Sasha Vs Bayley was probably had a hotter crowd at the start, while Shida Vs Hayter had to work to really get the crowd. You could hear the crowd switch from just being on Hayter's side to 50/50 during the first 5 minutes.

She's clearly not "well liked" by some, there was that rumour about her and Bayley lying down in the locker room after the wrestlemania match where they had to drop the tag titles. But then again Charles is apparently even less well liked (someone leaked nudez of her from the locker room, there was that going into business for herself moment on tv, the quasi shoot between her and Nia Jax etc...). I'll say on the whole, Sasha's had some level of reason to be upset in terms of unfavourable booking, while others (Charles) hasn't. Though that may not be a saving grace that prevents problems in AEW, since there's a lot of questionable booking for the women in AEW too.
