>>8825120LMAO. What is a "self-mark" territory?
While it was back in the territory days of the 70s and early 80s, Lawler was a huge name in what is typically referred to as the Memphis territory. Jerry Jarrett was the booker for much of Lawler's heyday, and most would consider Jarrett a legendary booker, and Lawler one of the biggest draws of the territory days. Memphis wrestling was must watch TV in the region (which was much Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama). Is there a single region in the US where Dynamite or Rampage is must watch TV?
Lawler had some of the most notable feuds of his era, including his feud with Andy Kaufman, which is still considered legendary for its mainstream exposure on the national stage, including an infamous appearance on Letterman (at a time when late night tall shows were must watch viewing nationwide).
Can you name a single feud in AEW that has gotten the level of mainstream exposure that Lawler/Kaufman got?
