To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Ranger Rabbit. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of Japanese sendai shows most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. Isn't that what the hardcore title is supposed to be though? I'm worried about putting a physical title on someone who then stops posting because interacting with other opens the door to matches which means they might lose their title.

I appreciate that. None of this is super serious, and that's what makes it good. But I still believe wins and losses should matter, and there needs to be rewards for winning (championship matches) and effects for losing (not getting a PPV match or title match). More championships won't help that, when no championships have been defended outside of PPVs anyway.

I think we might be talking about different things. Whoever the AI choses to win or lose a PPV match/feud blowoff is not an issue. That's just bad luck, and you have to deal with it.

But setting a match for a PPV that doesn't even have a set date locks in two options:
>1 the result of any matches those competitors are in until the PPV means nothing, as they already have a PPV match locked in. They could lose a hundred times in the build up, and then the PPV match is between a pair of losers
>2. In order to maintain their record for a PPV match on a date that is currently unknown, they don't even have matches. We get either the same back and forth that wears thin very quickly, or the two split off and start "planning for future feuds" with other people

Lovers/Warhorse was the first number one contender match we've ever had, not counting full tournaments.

That's literally what happened to Nikki and I worked around it. The day shit starts being 'worked' is the beginning of the end imo.
Ironically enough in this case most of the shit she ate in that feud in the Wrestling Mpire matches was worked by me making her lose because I was super green to this and didn't know we didn't 'book' the matches yet at that point, so I had the idea of her getting her ass kicked then getting her revenge (which didn't happen since the AI booked the 3rd match and decided otherwise) but I've enjoyed the way it worked out so far.

Wasn't the Hardcore title supposed to basically be something pretty similar to what is being suggested with the best girl title? This. Nikki is the best example. After the pajeet story Nikki was the most logical person to win. Priscilla did a fantastic job as a heel and Nikki had the most support coming into the match. Nikki lost but because she's not a retard she managed to work the loss into her character is still one of the top stars in the fed who is a part of one of the hottest storylines going. And that sort of encapsulates what I'm saying. Priscilla got the match becuase she won the HIAC, sure. But then the only other person given a chance to get into the match was someone in Priscilla's story line. Why not Zuni, why not you, why not Shiela, why not Rabbit, who most recently beat Violet?

I know I am the only one who cares about this, and I am genuinely on the spectrum so I can't help it. But nobody can give me a good reason why the match results only matter sometimes. If that's the case, why do you bother simming them? Why not just RP "We had a match and you won, but we're not finished so we need a rematch"?

Honestly... just like real wrestling innit. We basically use them in pursuit of the story. Random results throw curveballs and force us to adapt to the story and go in exciting new directions, it also allows for wild stuff that we can't predict.

Half the matches on the show are just one person saying "I want to fight you at the PPV" and it was magically set in stone. Some of those people have had no matches since the PPV challenge, and some have even lost on the road to.

If you want a PPV match with someone, and then you lose in an exhibition, you should be busting your ass to get more matches to get a win/several wins that makes that PPV match make sense. *Working around* (ie. ignoring) a match result because it doesn't fit your current story is lazy and makes the entire match pointless.

It's a bit hard to explain. But it doesn't feel quite right. This makes more sense story wise. MM lost at Waifus Collide, so to build her back up, a winning streak would work best after there wasn't really any feud for her to go with (mostly due to my own passivity). Plus Priscilla called dibs on first contender after waifus collide, which evolved into Violet dropping out and then back into the IC match. Which I was totally fine with, I don't want to look like my characters are hogging the spotlights, seeing that Surfer Girl also has a title shot.

The big one for me is Croakie/Ash, who had one short match that ended in a countout, and so a PPV match was set and it is apparently a No Holds Barred match. Then Romero lost on the road to the PPV, but nothing changed.
Neither person has ever pinned the other clean, and so we are jumping right to a NHB match? To me, that is silly.

If the story compels other people to want the match then yes but that won't happen. But you're missing the point whether on purpose or not. Nikki lost a match against Priscilla but she's still one of the top stars not because she wanted another shot but because she worked the loss into her character and her promos and segments kept her relevant.

There's a few reasons I can think of. It's fun to watch the AI do dumb shit, it's fun to improv with other anons instead of just going with the "logical" booking, etc.

I understand that's not really satisfying as an answer, but it'd be even gayer if we just posted pictures of anime tiddies all day and pretended imaginary fights were happening. Or worse, having anons get worked into a shoot because their waifu whiffed a top rope moved and got pinned off of it and looked like a bitch, and now they suddenly have to put more hours into a Norwegian lawnmower collecting board's e-fed to make their match make sense.

As one of the people in it, I don't see any real concern in losing in it. My waifu has had a total of two matches and currently my future plans are docked at the port, and I feel this battle royale could possibly give me more to work with. I think the non-physical and just purely verbal "best girl" title that MManon was suggesting that can get challenged at any time would be cool, it's not a serious title and as I'm arguing above, a waifu losing it isn't that big of a deal to me.

Well to use the IC scene as an example since there's more build/story there imo. Credit to Priscilla and Violet anons for that since the champ herself is missing in action (I know the last world title match had a great finish that set that match up, but there's been no actual build since)
If Violet wins, Priscilla has a very valid claim to a shot at her because Violet got into the match through the ref blowing a call
If Priscilla wins I don't think Violet would have a claim at getting a 3rd shot (unless there's some sort of screwjob finish)
And Winter Girl is there. If she wins then Idk. Another PPV cycle of an inactive IC champ I guess. On that note I think we need to establish a criteria for when we strip people of titles so this doesn't keep happening.

If the consensus was reached that WG should be stripped, Priscilla/Violet could have gone for the vacant title either at or before the ppv.

(Note that I am one of the people that doesn't believe every ppv MUST have every title defended.)

I am 100% in favor of us doing title matches as exhibition matches sometimes and not waiting for the PPV all the time as seems to be the pattern now. It's a big part of why I'm so disappointed to see the hardcore title of all things heading in the same direction too.

Ranger Rabbit is one of my favourite characters and I really enjoy our little interactions and seeing where things go. I see Amy, Holly and Rabbit as having a sort of on-again-off-again three way rivalry because they all broke in at the same time. The thing about comedy is it's subjective anyway. When I used to RP Sapphire as a comedy character in second life (based off the ditsy dumb blonde cheerleader trope), most of my "humor" was just wordplay, turning phrases, and meta 4th wall breaks to get reactions. Things that worked in that setting, but i don't think would work as well in wrestling.
