Izumi inspects the tickets, then asks Angela, “Wait, doesn’t this movie come out in… Uh, something wrong, Angela?” Izumi asks. “You’re shaking.”
Peppa looks from the chocolate to a nervous Angela, and <span class="mu-s">sees the girl's eyes glancing around nervously.</span> “Um. Hey, Angela. What’s up?”
Angela doesn't meet Peppa's eyes, but asks, "So, uh, since we're sharing, what does your chocolate look like?"
Before Peppa can think up a response, Izumi replies, “A rose.”
“A rose?" Angela asks, then nods, smiling. "That's cute! Hope you find it!"
Peppa looks at the ribbon in her fingers, and then at Izzy. <span class="mu-i">“What's she nervous about? You think she took it?"</span>
Izumi rubs her arm a bit, then responds, <span class="mu-i">“If she took it, she would have looked at it, right? But- I could be wrong- but it seems like she was genuinely curious just now, and accepted that easily. Maybe she's simply nervous about missing her movie?"</span>
Peppa nods. "In any case, her bag doesn't have any evidence she did take it." She daintily hands the chocolate back to Angela, and Izumi with the tickets. "Hope you enjoy your movie!"
Angela winces. "Hopefully Pen can too," she says, then shouts at the line, "I'll get you a snack, sweetie!"
"Ha, you're the only snack I need, my darling!"
"Aw!" Angela giggles, and she walks out.
…
Peppa finishes her gagging, and then looks to Izzy. <span class="mu-i">“Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea?”</span>
Izumi's face is grave. <span class="mu-i">"This is the path of thorns, Peppa. We don’t have to keep going down it, but the damage that’s been done can’t be undone.”</span>
Peppa sighs. <span class="mu-i">"In for a penny, in for a pound."</span> She then side-eyes her cousin. <span class="mu-i">“And c’mon, a ‘rose’ and ‘thorns’? Really flowering it up, your highness!”</span>
Izumi sticks her tongue out. <span class="mu-i">“Shaddup, it’s romantic.”</span> She then calls out to the line, “Next!”
They go through a couple more students who look uncomfortable from what they overheard before, but comply with the search. Peppa’s chocolate is not found among them. When they ask what her chocolate does look like, Izumi gives them such responses as “An apricot!” and “A chocolate orange ball.”
After they usher the next student forward, Peppa hisses to her cousin, “Stoooop!”
Izumi transmits back, <span class="mu-i">“But if I give a different story to each person, they won’t line up?”</span>
<span class="mu-i">“If you give out enough half-truths, they’re going to add up eventually!”</span>
Izumi smirks. <span class="mu-i">“Trust me, I think not saying anything would get them to ask each other.”</span> She then points at Peppa, <span class="mu-i">“Besides, it’s improved your mood!”</span>
Peppa crosses her arms. “Mm-mm!” She definitely is not smiling. No siree.
