>>5955247Unlike Cathrine, you actually manage to fit your entire letter onto a single page. Double-sided mind you but you’ll have no problems actually fitting it into an envelope. It needed to be quite a long letter as well, it’s Cathy’s fault really, there was so much she wrote that you needed to reply to, as is common courtesy. From her rambles about tulips, which you tried to give advice on from what you remember of your economic tutors and teachers, something about having a diverse portfolio is better than not(?) And how she could try to make a quick harvest and leave before the value turns to such lunacy it loses it all. Then you spoke of your weapons, a normal amount as she talked about her new dresses. Finally, you rounded out your letter with a comment that you’ll be heading north and if you can you’ll try to visit her estate. You’re not sure if you’ll be able to or where you’re going but by the time Cathrine receives this letter you’ll probably already be in the north.
Inside you, there’s a part that really hopes you’ll at least stop by the trading port that Cathy lives in. It’s a rather large city so there’s at least a decent change if you’re planning on going farther north than that.
“Your Highness? There’s an inquisitor waiting for you by the gates.” A maid with a delicate voice and appearance says from the door to your workspace.
You look out the window and see the sun not even reaching the peak of the sky, he must be early, “I see, I will depart post-haste. Please see my luggage prepared for me.”
The maid does a curtsy and leaves. You’ll have to get someone else to send the letter on your way out but first, there’s something more important, collecting your weapon bags.
