Heh, wouldn't it be funny if you did this?
You spot a blank category box on the clipboard. You scribble down "JHN" in it before signing "JOHN DOE" in sloppy but legible handwriting (you were never good at signatures, frankly...)
"There." You hand back the clipboard. "Here's your signature." The corner of your mouth curls with veiled amusement.
Vincent and Ashley lean over to check the signature. Both of them can hardly hold back their laughter at the trick you just pulled.
John Doe scans the signature you gave him. You doubt he's actually reading it with how glassy and hollow his gaze is, "A freshly signed signature..."
"Thank you for your signature! With this vital piece of handwriting, you too could become one of the many hands that builds our organization!" He gibbers out in a faux-sickly sweet tone that reminds you a little too much of Casey. He holds out his hand to you.
You shake your head, "No thanks."
"Suit yourself! Now, does the suit wear you or do you wear the suit? Things to consider." He holds out his other hand. In it, there's a business card. "Congratulations! You won!"
Ashley cautiously takes it on your behalf.
After the card's given, John Doe stares blankly at your group. You pick up that he wants to leave and, well, you want him out of your sight.
Your group makes way for him. He promptly walks past your group and towards the exit. Ashley tosses the business card at you.
One quick look puts you on high alert!
"THE PROBLEMS OF THE FUTUTE, TODAY, YOUR ADD HERE"
"OCEP. 867-5309."
"[Your Name] | [Your Job Title] | [Your Company] | [Your Contact Information]"
"HEY!" You rush back out to the front lobby to confront John Doe but by the time you realize what's going on, he's already gone.
Your other allies, understandably, are confused by your sudden freakout. Riiight. You didn't tell them about the OCEP.
Oh well, "Benjamin. Max." You tap at your earpiece. "Look for a man in a black suit and red tie that just came out. Kiara? Do you have any camera access up front?"
[ALL SEEING LEDS] "Shit. Sorry, no, none of them have good coverage out there." Her eyes flash teal as she searches through the cameras. "They haven't maintained the cameras here for a good minute. Too grainy to make anything out."
Shit. Okay. You can only hope Max and Benjamin can find him.
"Ya okay, Nicky? Who was that guy?" "Gut impulse tells me it's someone working for the spooks. Don't know more than that."
"Not much we can do now that he's gone." Vincent shrugs. "I gotta say though. That trick you pulled? Shit. He looks like a real dumbass now, huh?"
Ashley pats you right on the back. "Shit! Even if he is a spook, they're just going to think this dumbass signed his own name. Like a CHUMP."
"Yeah. Fuck 'em." You smile. Oh well. You felt like you disrupted things somehow with that trick.
>+0.5 VINCENT RAPPORT and 0.25 ASHLEY RAPPORT from the trick you pulled!
Nothing else to do here. Your group heads further into the employee's only section.
