As the door closed the Squire placed his hand upon the door. The action was quick and the woman quickly flew from the door in a sudden spike of terror as the action was taken.
She was like a cat. Looking directly upon the threat looking for the moment where she can could flee from the assailant that was threatening death upon her person at the moment. Now Lucian was not going to threaten death upon her for there was no reason so.
That however was against the fact being presented that she was about to withhold information from him. She could be scared, as was Lucian, but he could not allow her to bottle up such knowledge. Not when the corpse of a Grail Knight was still at large and damning all that were involved with the investigation.
“Tell me, Dorthy.” Lucian said as he felt the weight of the scythe upon his back, “Describe the other man. What did he look like?”
“D-Don’t hurt me!”
“You are withholding information from the Nobility.” Declared Lucian as he walked into the room and closed the door, “Death is the least of your worries.”
“HE WAS DEAD!” She shouted at the top of her lungs before dropping to her knees, “His skin was rotting and his flesh gone. I saw it with my own eyes!”
“Was he a zombie?” Lucian asked as he remembered the creatures from the garden.
“No. No he wasn’t.” The woman had become deathly white as she looked upon her assailant, “There was something about him. Those hollowed eyes were looking at me with disgust and wrath. He… he knew that I was there.”
“And when did you see it?” Lucian asked as he stood above the fallen woman. The laws of honor dictating that he did not drop down to put himself at the same level as a Peasant.
“It…” Lucian watched as the woman’s shoulders dropped, “It was when they… they asked me for help.”
He could guess now, “For what?”
“They… they wanted to meet Samuel.” Tears came pouring down her cheeks as she spoke, “They wanted to kill him!”
