The fleet continues to sail at breakneck speed and within one day you start seeing a white dot on the horizon which steadily swells into the massive fortress that is the headquarters of the marines. They couldn't have made it any less subtle if they wanted it as it has two massive white arches in the shape of the marines insignia. Crocodile cheerfully opens the comms again.
"Well there you have it folks. Former marine base G-1, now the new heart and soul of the Marines. You see that bridge to the side? That connects them straight to the Red Line and the royal forces of the World Government."
"Interesting. Meaning they could theoretically receive reinforcements continuously. I'll direct our family to destroy it if you'll give the word Silver."
"Hah. Ridiculous. What you'd do with a whole fleet I can do it with one hand. Watch!"
"What did you say?"
The various captains on the comm channels start arguing with each other while you turn your attention to the marine base. Besides the marble colored walls you see a sea of white at the base of the building. The thousands upon thousands of men and women who lined up to willingly put themselves between you and your goal. You wonder if they'll be equally as eager to die for their ideals.
"Worororo! Makes the hair on your back stand up, doesn't it? Go on! Drink it in! This is the last moment of serenity you'll have for a while!"
You wonder about that and how it must've felt for Whitebeard when he did the same. Did he care? Did he feel threatened? Or did he look at them with as much contempt as you did? If you recall the stories he sent his war declaration in the form of a tsunami. Yes. An occasion like this deserves a grandiose opening.
>Put some fear in their hearts with a display of power
>Start shouting long enough that they all hear you
>A simple "Attack!" will suffice
>Other?
