“Let me ask…” You take your glasses off, clean them with your shirt, put them back on, and smile. “Did you have fun?”
“Tons and tons, hence why I want to stay friends forever.” A sarcastic Carol looks back at you with annoyance, feet tapping on the floor.
“I know you’re trying to be cheeky, but I can tell it’s true.” You mess with her in good fun.
“I take it back, I don’t think you needed me to ruin your date.” Carol makes fun of you.
“Speaking of ruining, I know things don’t have to be this way with everyone. Can I help you amend things with the others?” You want to help this pesky idol go through a character arc.
“Run that by me again.” Carol wants you to repeat what you said.
“You don’t want the others to still be mad at you, right? Let me help you change their minds.” You optimistically pump your fist.
“Where is this coming from?” Carol is astonished by the seemingly random proposition.
“You’re an idol, Carol, you don’t wanna lose your fans, do you?” You point out. As a manager, you know how bad it is for the business.
“Tough luck for me. I already accepted that they can’t stand me.” Carol doesn’t want to bother them. Mainly because she doesn’t seem to gain anything from it.
“Working together will be difficult if everyone around me hates your guts though.” You add.
“F-Fair point.” Carol agrees with you! What a surprise! “I take it you have a plan? A way to trick them into liking me again. Tell me.”
“Trick? We aren’t doing any brainwashing.” You shake your head rapidly like a spider landed on your head.
“Well, duh, but you know those two, right? A way to get through their hearts and welcome me back!” Carol points out. “Because if you want to play it straight, I’d rather not waste my time.”
Carol wants a perfect overcomplicated plan to win the others over, things can never be easy at the top of the idol industry. This might serve as good manager practice, you need to somehow become the perfect PR machine.
>>What do you do?
>“No tricks, Carol. We’re going there and you’ll apologize. Accept any punishment they give you. I’ll be there to back you up.” You’ll play it straight whether she likes it or not.
>“How about we bake them our own muffins together?” If your cake showed them how you feel, then perhaps if you adapt the cake recipe for muffins and allow Carol to help, they will show the others how sorry Carol really feels for being a jackass!
>“Sing them a song about how sorry you feel!” You remember Debbie’s words! Singing is another language! Let them hear Carol’s true feelings in the best way she knows.
