You’re going to ask Ursula about her intentions, get the fucking keyboard, and then find Yu Yan and the other girls to form a massive study group so you can leave this adventure to piss town on a high note. Sounds easy, right? No side-mission within a side-mission within a side-mission bullshit, right?
Right…?
“I got a couple of questions if you don’t mind. Uhm, they’re not something I want to broadcast to the rest of the study group though.” You look at everyone around to give them a cue to move away.
“You heard Mama Bear’s brother. Scram! Keep on studying!” Ursula likes the privacy and indulges you.
You’re left with Ursula, Nariko, and the nice door opener guy. You have no idea why he’s sticking around, but you’re not going to question it. With everyone doing their own thing, it’s time for you to delve into the ugly questions you have.
“What are your true intentions, Ursula?” You, metaphorically, go for the jaw like she’s Henry.
“I-Intentions? What are you talking about?” Ursula didn’t expect this kind of question right off the bat.
“Are you really into the Book Club? Or did you manipulate my little sister into joining gang fights?” You’re a little pissed, you’re not going to lie, but you’re hiding it well. Is this how your sister feels about Neko?
“Book Club 100%! But it’s tricky.” Ursula crosses her arms. You got the feeling she’s going to be honest. “She knocked out our former leader so badly, he changed schools. One electrifying slap! Saw it with my own two peppers.”
“Why did Amelia do that?” Nariko wants answers.
“Self-defense. Our old boss did business himself and threatened the staff at the library for a special book. He read some conspiracy theories, and wanted his hands on it.” Ursula recalls. “He got really violent for a hot minute, and ended up spitting sparks.”
“What’s the book about?” You think you’re getting a long story.
“I’ll get to it, just wait a little bit.” Ursula is trying to build up intrigue. “I was forced to take leadership. Chain of command stuff. I relinquished the role, but nobody was up to taking it either, so we disbanded.” Ursula sighs. “I thought it’d be the end of it, but the leaders of the other gangs wanted blood. My blood. My GREAT teammates told those jerk faces to look for me as I was the leader.” Ursula glares at Door Opener guy.
“Hmm? I got my ass kicked trying to keep you safe. The others weren’t so nice.” He turns to you two now. “We all apologized for letting Ursula down.”
