You check the library for books, of any kind really. What else would you hope to find here, anyway? They don't even have manga here, what's the point of a book without drawings?!
You push and pull books to see if there would be any sort of secret exit, but it's impossible to check all the bookshelves in here. You do a find something useful though, a section with yearbooks and such. The assassin would certainly be at least mentioned here... Maybe? How would you recognize them anyway?

As they start filling up the room while you hide behind a shelf. Further research would have to wait.... After all, every good action flick must have that one big classic fight that people discuss to no end set to licensed music, right? Conveniently, the person behinds the speakers plays some very appropriate music for the occasion.... As you yell at nothing in frustration. "Hey! Stop that, that was just a thought! I didn't mean it for real! You're gonna tank our budget! We'll get a copyright claim!"
