“Lady Emelina.” Lucian spoke the name of young girl with as much surprise as he felt, “Its, uh, kind of late.”
“It is, but I could not sleep.” The woman admitted while shinning a somewhat childish smile, “I wanted to heading to get some water and saw that the lanterns were lit. It is still quite dark in here, do you want me to set another light?”
“If you want.” Lucian said trying to be courteous to the woman.
“Thank you~” The girl started walking around the room and began moving the candles to light each of them.
It was a few days ago that Emelina had arrived at the castle. The Lady was the niece of Remon, daughter of another Count whose name Lucian wished he had remembered now. The amount of training that Remon gave was enough for a lifetime, adding in Adok’s and reading caused the young Knight to have some issues in memory.
Light flooded into the eyes of Lucian, the rays digging their talons into him. Lucian swore he lit this many lights before but time has surely passed since then.
“Lucian the Durand, in the flesh.” The Lady said as her eyes glazed over Lucian with an appraising look. With a small bit of satisfaction she grew a grin, “You have come into the role of Knight well, you look nothing like the Peasant some claimed you to be.”
“Uh, thanks.” Lucian admitted as the girl sat down across from him.
Lucian had to admit, seeing her in the light, gave this noblewoman a great shine for him. Her eyes were the color of emerald and hair a nice shade of amber. Her chest was plump to a size none of Lucian’s sisters ever had.
Yet she was not the most beautiful woman the man had ever seen. That honor goes to Albera the Golden. Lucian, however, would not mind this woman at all.
>She is quite beautiful
>Ask what has been happening beyond the walls
